In line with its ‘One Customer Bank’ proposition; Sterling Bank has launched the Sterling Bank MSME Academy for Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises which is scheduled to commence from September 23, 2015 at NECA House Auditorium, Plot A2, Hakeem Balogun Street, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. 



The Sterling MSME Academy is part of the Bank’s strategy to empower and support Nigerian SMEs and contribute to the growth and development of the Nigerian Economy, and is a value-add offering for our SUPA Business account holders. The maiden edition of the Academy holdsin Lagos from 23rd September to 14th October 2015 (Wednesdays ONLY).
The focus of the Academy is to train and mentor existing and emerging MSMEs to build viable business development plans as well as equip trainees with entrepreneurial and managerial skills in order to better manage funds, maximize profit and improve assets quality of their businesses. The Academy will also prepare and equip MSMEs towards accessing finance from both local and international financial donors.  
The Academy will engage MSME Participantsin an intensive Capacity building session which willprovide entrepreneurial training that will enhance the productivity and de-risking of MSMEs. There will also be Mentoring sessions to get MSMEs closer to relevant and reliable business information that will facilitate business growth in terms of fostering access to market(s) and funds via financial advisory services.
Eligibility Criteria for the Academy:
a.     All existing and prospective Sterling Bank customers are eligible to participate
b.     Academy Fee Structure : N12,999.00 (One-off) or N15,000 in 3 installments over 3 months (N5,000 each month)
