AYO MI DE by Toyin Joe-Bassey expresses the Law of Attraction.
The universe responds to your strongest and most prolonged imagination. If you think Joy, Joy ultimately comes to you. It is a universal law; YOU ATTRACT WHAT YOU ARE.
Ayomide is undeniably the lead track in her 10 track debut album titled My Tribute: delivered through a live recording concert.
AYO MI DE is a Yoruba phrase/name which literally means: MY JOY HAS COME. God has guaranteed you Joy, but you are responsible for working out your happiness. "For His anger is but for a moment, His favour brings life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." NKJV Ps 30:5.
God has given you authority to define your morning. Your morning is your season of favour. Your attitude while waiting for that breakthrough either hastens or delays his/her morning. It behooves you to take permanent residence in your morning through thanksgiving, praise, worship, prayers of faith and right speaking. Joy, favour,
goodness, restoration, deliverance, blessings. Come in the morning.
In her words:
Its interesting that this song came while I was chewing popcorn. When it arrived the door of my lips it had no beat, no rhythm only a tune. Thank God for producer: Wale Adeoye, he gave it the '9 by 12' beat, fusing your "jazzism" and pentatonic scales into it. My prayer for the one listening to "Ayo mi de" is that your Joy will dash to you speedily in Jesus name." - Toyin Joe-Bassey

Toyin Joe-Bassey is a female African recording artiste, prolific songwriter/composer, design artist, event planner and coordinator, with an MBA degree. Toyin Joe-Bassey, the Creative Director of Shiph'ah UC, Nigeria: a company set up to bring authentic beauty to lives through African works of art has a passion to become the best; to produce the best works of art and help others discover and harness their best-possible capabilities to God's glory.
Toyin Joe-Bassey was born in the late '60s into a Christian home. Under her father's tutelage, she began to sing in the public at the age of 9 alongside her twin brother, Tosin Ajolore and other family members. They served and gave choral support to their father's ministry; bringing on God's glory whenever he had any pulpit assignment. She put together a small singing group at the university called 'The Agape Sisters', where she played her guitar, and with her group sang at the school fellowship. In addition, she and her twin brother Tosin would render psalms and spiritual songs both within the school and at the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International Breakfast
Meetings.
She joined her first choir after her youth service in Port-Harcourt and has been a member of two more since then. She also organized concerts, voice training classes and taught people how to maximize their vocal capacity. Thereafter, she continued with solo performances in the confines of the ministries where she serves. Toyin believes that God deserves the best of whatever man has to offer, hence offers undiluted, implicit and spirited worship to God. She teaches scriptural principles via her songs using any combination of neo-soul, jazz infusions and negro flavours.
Toyin Joe-Bassey is a record-breaker, unique in many respects. Having sang for 37 years, she took a very bold step of recording her debut album in a LIVE RECORDING CONCERT; a great feat indeed. This makes her the first-ever female Nigerian who dared to start her public music career taking such a high risk. Her 10-track album 'My Tribute' is on ITunes, Amazon, sound cloud, youtube, Cloud9, Music+, Boomplay, etc and is currently making waves. Toyin Joe-Bassey has a dauntless personality. Her passion is high on issues that border on humanity with a bias for education and contributing her quota in rebuilding the constantly eroding middle-class.
Toyin's passion for the less privileged birthed the platform of THE CHRISTMAS BARBEQUE CONCERT series. On this platform, she is currently partnering with others to bring succor to people living with special needs. She is the creative director of the Home-Front Worship, Sounds from my heart online/radio weekly devotional and the Healing Worship Quarterly Concert.
She is married to Joseph Abam Bassey and they live in the city of Abuja.
